Why I do it this way
Most web agencies sell page counts. “Five pages for £X, ten pages for £Y.” That’s the wrong way to think about a service website.
A service website has one job: to bring in the right kind of enquiries and filter out the wrong ones. That means clear messaging about what you do, who you do it for, and where you operate. It means proof that you’re the real thing. And it means answering the questions your ideal client is already asking before they pick up the phone.
The only way to do that properly is to understand your business first. So every project I take on starts with a structured interview. I ask questions until I understand what makes you different, who your best clients are, and what’s been stopping better ones from finding you.
Then we build from that. Not before.
I work with professional services businesses, specialists, and owner-led companies who want a website that works, not one that just looks the part. I’m not the right fit for everyone, and I’d rather be honest about that upfront than waste your time or mine.

Beyond the work
I speak at business networking events across the North East, including Teesdale Business Network, Biz66, and Spennymoor Business Network, on topics ranging from what actually makes websites generate leads to understanding AI and what it means for small businesses. The response to that last one in late 2025 was the best turnout I’ve seen.
I’ve also been featured on two business podcasts: Tech a Break (Episode 101) and About Small Business, where I’ve talked about my background, how I think about websites as commercial tools rather than digital brochures, and why most businesses misunderstand what actually makes a site work.
If you want to understand how I think before getting in touch, either of those is a decent place to start.

Who I work with
I work best with service-based businesses and specialists who want their website to do a proper job. Owner-led businesses, small professional practices, tradespeople who know their worth, and anyone who’s had a bad experience with an agency that promised the world and delivered a template.
I’m based in Upper Teesdale, County Durham, but I work with clients remotely across the UK. Location has never been a barrier.
If any of that sounds like you, I’d be glad to have a conversation.
